Thank-you Donors!

The fall/winter campaign has so far raised $32,794 USD bringing us very close to our $36,000 goal to cover the expense of clinic operations for 2024. EDM residents contributed 37% or $12,800, of the total raised. The remainder came from outside the EDM community from those doctors, dentists, nurses, hygienists, and other good friends of Barrón who have consistently volunteered their services and contributed their money to support the Barrón clinic.

Construction of the new Barrón Medical/Dental Clinic and Community Center is well underway. La Viña leader, Fred Collum, and architect Miguel Torres are in charge of the project. Fred, with a little help from FOB and Rotary Clubs in the USA and Mazatlán, continues to work hard to raise the funds required to finish the project. Miguel is the project architect and manager. If construction fundraising goals are met, Barron will have a new Clinic and Community Center by summer 2024. Upon completion, FOB will donate and transfer all medical and dental equipment, supplies, pharmacy and furniture to La Viña and the new Clinic. With current FOB medical and dental staff, La Viña will take over the permanent operation and management of the Clinic and Community Center. FOB will assist with future fundraising efforts.
